but not THAT cold. Twenty-four degrees outside my house. I was freezing coming home from work. I can't imagine. Try to stay warm. Darn.

warmed us up to -18 @ 8:45. Snow coming on Monday up to aproxx. 7in. But it gets warmer finally above zero. Northeast Lower Michigan.

8. It's been a long time since we've seen this kind of cold

I grew up in central Minnesota, and remember the winter of 1996 vividly. Feb 2, -40F air temp on the farm in St. Cloud made it extra challenging to get the chores done. Those poor bastards up on the Canadian border in Tower saw -60F air temp that day!

Interesting that 1996's low was almost a typical low in the 60's and most of 70's.

Too bad it only goes up through 2015.
