There are very good reasons that the three branches get automatically paid. It keeps them independent of each other. Imagine if Trump could stop payments to Pelosi or to RBG. Or if Congress could stop pay to President Obama or Sotomayor.

from the beginning. Will it happen? A whole other question.

But, I am getting quite anxious about how this is dragging on and there just doesn't seem to be an end to the impasse. Too many things are in need of attention and it's not happening because of the temper tantrums of mcconnell and trump.

it was just a cover to the deeper vile action of taking down the government. If this keeps up I don't see this ending well . Everyone has their breaking point. Hopefully this regime will break.
