3. I would think that if he's caught lying to congress, again, he'll be charged, again

My sense is he's now in the process of purging himself. Whether it gets his sentence reduced, or not, it plays a role in bringing down trump*, et al. That will slightly mitigate the bad way he will be portrayed by history. IMHO, of course.

4. Lying to Congress is one reason his ass is going to jail as it is.

How would lying to them again reduce his sentence rather than add to it?

wouldn't reduce his sentence if he can't provide evidence. Prosecutors know this.
