What's in it for him?

We all know that Tiny is greedy as hell and seldom lifts a finger if there's not profit involved. Given that, what the hell does he have to gain from 'the wall'?

I've heard many people claiming he's simply motivated to see 'the wall' through because that's a campaign promise he made to his base. Bullshit, Tiny has broken promise after promise after promise. He doesn't care about keeping promises, he's only motivated by profit.

SO, as far as 'the wall' goes.... what's in it for him? Does he secretly own a stake in a construction company which will be awarded a no-bid contract? Will he scoop up property which will be seized under imminent-domain laws and build a resort?

Surely something is going on deeper than his desire to keep a promise.

3. He doesn't care about the wall. He wants the distraction it creates.

He doesn't want people talking about Mueller, Congressional investigations, State investigations...

The steel bullshit is potential frosting for Russian steel oligarchs.

6. Didn't he already use it and an Oval Office "address" to con people into giving him money?

Subject of the address-coincident email "build the wall" in some variant, fine print money goes to his campaign to be grifted for his personal use?

He can't grasp the enormity of actual Federal budgets and runs cons on the smaller scale he's used to and grasps

He owes someone a shit ton of money, and he wants to pay it back using cash from the United States Treasury.

Just a guess.
