There are more so called terrorists coming from the Northern Border(Canada/Russia) than the Southern Border(Mexico).

(17,984 posts)there were Muslims on the rooftops cheering during 9/11, but when he fawns over Saudi Arabia it's ok? Seriously, there must be more than a few gears missing in their cognition machine.

perception is that Brown People don't come across the northern border.... perception is everything, even when untrue

(11,760 posts)There is no traction with his base or the general population if he started to demonize White people, even Canadians. Trump's wall isn't about security. It is about stoking racial anxiety. The demographics of the US are changing. The fastest growing segments of the population are more brown and ethnic. Trump is counting on racial fears of a Brown America to sell his agenda.
That would not work by putting a wall along the border with the Great White North.

(7,411 posts)The most interesting part of his narrative to me was the entrance into the U.S. through the Canadian border by Korean infiltrators who in turn hooked up with previously legal sleeper cells. This was combined with coastal infiltration. I don't buy the entire premise, but there are maybe some things to recognize that could occur at some level.
We have many Asian/Russian/Middle Eastern people in this country legally. I assume NSA monitors some of them. but to keep projecting that our most important security agenda is building a wall between US/Mexico is ridiculous. Our real enemies are not that simplistic and they play the long game.
Again, the author is a prepper type so you have to pick out what you think may be real. I was surprised that much of his narrative was possible, even if unlikely. I read about half the book and decided to give it a rest, but the author did bring up some disturbing scenarios.
