Climate Change Will Not Be Addressed Because Billionaires Are In Charge - Sorry World
I saw Jay Inslee's interview on the Chris Hayes show. It was great, and Jay is half right. Dealing with climate change is our nation's number one problem. He forgot to mention one simple fact though. Billionaires and the corporations they control are in charge of most of our government and policy. Nothing gets done unless the wealthiest Americans get paid first.
Nothing will be done about our collapsing world unless it is profitable for the 1%. Face it. This is reality. From funding anti-climate change scientists, to funding climate change denying Republicans. Billionaires are attempting to stop all action to address the fact that the Earth is getting hotter, and hotter, and hotter. It's all about money and power to them.
Many or most Americans want something done about the melting ice, fires, hurricanes, and floods that are increasing but "the message" is muted. I watched coverage of 4 hurricanes last year and heard "climate change" mentioned one time during the 4 storms on CNN and MSNBC. Now it is being mentioned more, but it is being poo pooed. Like it doesn't even matter.
Until we address the fact that the wealthy control most of the government and most of the media, our planet is doomed. Doomed.
Sorry kiddies.
Jay, time someone took on the ruling class. You know, the folks above the law, and run our government like it is their private cash machine. And don't pay taxes.
While they are in charge, nothing significant will be done, unless of course it makes them richer.
