HHS Secretary in WPB slams as “nonsense” claims of $700B in Medicare cuts

WEST PALM BEACH —

Claims that the Affordable Care Act is cutting more than $700 billion in Medicare benefits are “just nonsense,” U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said today as protestors waved signs outside.

“I do think that is one of the constant untruths that is part of the dialogue,” Sebelius said in a morning visit to talk to seniors about the federal health care law in West Palm Beach. “There have been no benefit cuts. It’s slowing down the rate of increase.”

Outside, handwritten placards criticized $700 billion in Medicare cuts under Obamacare and asserted “Romney and Ryan Right 4 Medicare.”

“I want to stop Obamacare,” said one of the protesters, Elaine Fandino of Greenacres. GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s Florida communications director stood next to her.

This is not a 'constant untruth': this is a constant lie, told by a constant liar, who cannot be trusted to tell the truth even when the truth would do for his purposes. It is a lie! Every Democrat should say it, loud and often.

"Romney loves America like a tick loves a dog."

Need to smack them down with the truth, now.
We've heard this since 2010 election and cost us many seats in both houses, because they let it stand.
Now they have to come from behind, especially in Florida and correct the misinformation. The reps running across the states, have to read the bill and defend it, god knows, they have enough time off.

When I heard that I knew this was a bogus protest.

Did you see County Commissioner Abrams out there egging the people on?? It was so staged yet so forced at the same time.
