YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP! Well, Matt Bevin is, but the "fake news" isn't. What excuse will the gun advocates come up with next? How about some more restrictions on gun ownership, huh???
In a radio interview with conservative talk show host Leland Conway, the Kentucky Republican said new laws aren't the solution to violence, but addressing a "culture of death" in media is the start.
It starts with everything from the type of entertainment that we focus on, Bevin said. Whats the most popular topic that seems to be in every cable television network. Television shows are all about, what? Zombies! I dont get it ... thats what we are.
Bevin went on to say Kentuckians are staunch defenders of the Constitution and that liberal attempts to enact gun control won't be successful. He added that violent shows are morphing the minds of young, impressionable children.

(35,076 posts)Maybe you should start with the dehumanization and demonization that comes from the top... "crisis actors", conspiracy theories, people aren't real, etc.
#2 - Everything is a war on something. War on Christmas. War on Drugs. War on Terror. You need to do more to oppose this universal militarization in our culture.

(82,849 posts)When you rule out gun regulation right off the bat, you have to grope for some other explanation. Hey, zombies! Let's blame that.
I'm in favor of using the term "regulation" instead of "control," for two reasons: Saying "gun control" reflexively freaks out a certain segment of the population; and "regulation" tracks with the actual language of the Second Amendment ("well-regulated" and the difference in phrasing (for now) goes around the knee-jerk reaction that "control" elicits.

" I guarantee you somewhere today, a child was physically harmed or ingested poison because they were home alone because a single parent didn't have enough money to take care of them."
More at article. And you can look up his backpedaling at the google.

(3 posts)He's probably got a point, as the Republican leadership and the current White House resident cannot possibly be human and they are constantly on the TV.
