Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bye, Steve.
Katie Hill is an extraordinarily impressive person with a background assisting the homeless and ran a near-flawless campaign. She will be a wonderful addition to Congress.

(14,565 posts)I am in Miami and nowhere near Katie Hill. I didn't know anything about her but about a month ago out of nowhere I started receiving daily emails from her campaign. It still baffles me. The other out of state Democrat who likewise started sending me daily emails without impetus was Betsy Rader. Too bad she lost.
I didn't know what to think of it. Donna Shalala had my email so perhaps there was an exchange. Or maybe something from this site. That's fine, if it happened.
Anyway, I was contacted by Katie Hill and Betsy Rader maybe 60+ times in total, compared to 0 combined from Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson.

This is the email I received today, after the result:
"This race just got called...and we won!!!
I can't thank you enough for all of your support.
This campaign wasn't just a true grassroots effort, we won because of the grassroots.
More than 4,000 of you volunteered on this campaign and more than 30,000 donated to our campaign. Truly amazing!!
I'm so thankful for everything you've done and humbled by the trust you've placed in me.
Thank you so much for everything you did.
