Trump on Wednesday said he has a solution to the abortion rights debate, but did not provide further details.
At a wide-ranging and tense press conference following the midterm elections, Trump was asked how he would push forward with his pro-life agenda as promised during the campaign.
I wont be able to explain that to you, Trump said. Because it is an issue that is a very divisive, polarizing issue. But there is a solution, I think that I have that solution. And nobody else does."

The debate over abortion rights is seeing renewed energy following Trumps recent appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Kavanaugh, a conservative justice, is seen as a potential tie-breaker to overturn Roe v. Wade, should the opportunity arise.

I don't think rapists like Trump and Kavanaugh should be in control of women's bodies.

(25,938 posts)I'm sure his idea of a "solutiion" is that somehow, magically, women will simply stop having abortions.
Similarly, those who want to undo Roe v Wade are apparently under the delusion that before Roe v Wade women didn't get abortions.

(6,496 posts)He'll probably do nothing except bitch and moan about the Dems. I don't think Trump cares about abortion. If anything, he probably supports. He's probably paid for a few abortions in his lifetime... knowing how he is.

(12,448 posts)That's not a solution, that's something rattling around in his head. He really does think like an authoritarian: "I don't have to justify what I do"
