Basic Facts: Republicans have lost more seats under Trump than they have gained.

1. Reliable red states and districts are becoming increasingly more competitive.
2. Republicans are losing more seats in reliable blue states.
3. More people overall are voting for Democrats than they are Republicans. '
4. More states are trending from red blue, Virginia for example, than states are trending blue to red.

In sum, the Republican party has become a base only party that relies on gerrymandering and voter suppression to stay in power. Once Trump is gone, they will be finished as a national party as no other Republican will be able to maintain this political strategy.

in certain parts of the country.

It plays less well in border states and seems to be losing its appeal in the Big Red Capstone and its 38 electoral votes. Not even Arthur Laffer’s funny graphs will save them.
