Propaganda works, and critical thinking wasn't a standard course in pre-1990s US high schools.

A lot of the 45 plus crowd still hasn’t figured out that the Republican Party in general and the Texas Republican Party in particular doesn’t represent their interests.

I hope there is a popular Texas populist out there—we could use a 21st Century Ralph Yarborough or Wright Patman.
