Should the Federal Government supply a National Voter ID
It should have no number or anything that allows tracking - but simply be a photo id that says who you are . It should be free and be given out automatically to every registered voter.
This will help defeat all the nefarious schemes cooked up by Republicans

1. No. Won't do much good if....

4. You dont get .. The republican bastards are denying people the right to vote based on the id they
have ..
Public Housing assistance ID is a government issued - but is predominantly held by minorities --- and SURPRISE -- this is not a valid ID in Alabama .. |

7. They also discriminate against student IDs
AS many students have a drivers license/state ID from their home state (as opposed to where they attend school).
Concealed carry ID? Fine. Let's make sure Bubba Redneck carries his AR-15 to the polls, but gotta keep those students and minorities from voting. |

6. None of these things happen
* Guy is ineligible to vote but votes anyway
* Guy is eligible to vote and does it multiple times * Guy impersonates another voter Non-existent problems. Yet somehow the GOP has convinced even many Democrats that a national voter ID is needed. Unbelievable. Meanwhile, suppression prevents tens of thousands of votes every cycle, and that's on the low end. We need to make suppression the priority and national topic immediately following this election, instead of waiting until the final two months before November 2020 and noticing that some GOP shenanigans are going on. It is disgraceful that we have allowed suppression to spread and accelerate without the public being aware of it, and actually believing fraud is more of an issue. |
