(33,646 posts)You'd probably be surprised at how many voters know nothing more than what Fox tells them.

The Liberal Lion
(1,414 posts)and incredibly he still won. I don't think this is an effective ad. As a Florida resident I'll tell you what would be a far more effective ad, pointing out the red algae bloom. If there is one thing Floridians care about is their water and water quality. Bill Nelson is in the lead now, and that's good. But pointing out Scott is a past crook won't change any minds in this state. Pointing out the contamination of our beaches as a result of Scott's polices will. It's something Scott just can't ignore.
Another effective ad could be to tie Scott to trump and McConnell and their attempts to cut medicare, medicaid, and SS. Finally, I'd like to see ads of Nelson pointing out his own stellar record for Florida.

(8 posts)I totally agree, I'm a Florida voter also. "Red Tide Rick" gets attention down here more than the He's a crook.

Since I cut cable 4 years ago, I tune in local channels especially the CBS affiliate around 11:30 pm (waiting for The Late Show). In the past few months, Ive seen way too many Snott attack ads.
Just hope its not too little too late!

(33,016 posts)But seriously, if he's ripped the government off for this much money why isn't Cheeto getting on it? This is the reason why he ran for president, after all. Rick Scott has the government gravy train all figured out.

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
