(3,148 posts)I might hate Republicans and can't understand why they vote the way they vote. I'd never stop them from voting or deter them from voting. That might be the real reason Democrats lose.

(17,984 posts)in order to suppress the R vote. Sorry if that sounds "loony" and "undemocratic", but tough times call for tough measures and I don't see how we can remain "civil" when Rs continue to cheat left and right. This is nothing less than the R attempt to keep the Senate under their control. Do we stand by and let them? If this must go through the courts, it will not be decided for months. We will then have an R senator from ND to vote "yes" on the next SCOTUS appointment (and many other horrible things).

He ended up "both siding" it and the rethugs glossed over everything as if the rule change was no big deal. His correspondent closed the segment by saying that they couldn't find a single voter who had been inconvenienced by the new ID requirements.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
