Don Bacon is a right wing jerk BTW. Kudos for the effort.

A 26-year-old Omaha man caught on surveillance video throwing a political campaign sign in a dumpster was ticketed on suspicion of trespassing and destruction of property.
The incident occurred about 1:15 p.m. Oct. 7 near 35th and Dodge Streets. The next day, a woman went to Omaha police headquarters to report that that she had video of a man removing a large Don Bacon re-election sign from a building and throwing it away.
The license plate of a 2000 Honda Accord that the man was driving was plainly visible in the video. Police contacted the daughter of the vehicle's owner on Oct. 11. She was able to identify the driver as her sister's boyfriend.
When the man was contacted by police, he admitted to taking the sign in "a spur-of-the-moment decision." He told police that it was the only campaign sign he had removed.
The man told officers that "technology was to blame for his identification."
