Krugman slams "gullible" MSM for kissing up to Ryan

In a blog post, slammed the media, providing the specific example of one "William Saletan" of Slate, who wrote an ass-kissing article about "fiscal conservative" Ryan. Saletan said he will vote for Obama but in 2016 he is tempted to vote for Ryan, because Ryan is not like the GOP extremists, etc.

Krugman says:

"What Ryan is good at is exploiting the willful gullibility of the Beltway media, using a soft-focus style to play into their desire to have a conservative wonk they can say nice things about. And apparently the trick still works."

reminds me of a term I use for some students I have had from time to time: pro-active ignorance.

Or do the rest of you feel kind of dirty after reading that Saletan article? Reading it was like watching someone degrade themselves for money.

Cheap whores perform sex acts on drunks in alleys, while wearing pleather boots, and get paid $40/trick. Expensive whores perform their sex acts in "print", wearing $2000 suits, and get paid thousands of dollars per trick. Edit: And they don't need mouthwash or penicillin afterward.
