(41 posts)to call my republican senator - Richard Shelby - and, as usual, got his voicemail which said, also as usual, that it couldn't take messages at this time. I'm hoping that since he came out against Roy Moore that he might waver on Kavanaugh. I don't think that he's in any danger of being primaried no matter which way he votes, so maybe he'll do the right thing.

(81,265 posts)When I got a real live person on the line after leaving a message in that office, I noted to the staffer on the phone that I was happy to talk to a real human rather than a voice mail prompt, because I didn't know whether the message I'd already left would ever get picked up, much less acknowledged. I was told, several times in several different offices, that "oh yes we check the messages. Definitely."
Leave word. Leave a mark on the massive organized hellbent attempt to rush this through.

(25,857 posts)No Democrat and not a single female Republican has any business supporting Kavanaugh. Nor should any man who has a daughter, a wife, a sister, or even a mother.

(16,940 posts)I've given her slack before because she is a Democrat in a RED state BUT This vote is for the COUNTRY not just ND. I do know how important the D is for control of the senate, but what good is that IF our country goes under?? SHE NEEDS TO VOTE NO NO NO!!
