1) Mitt chose Ryan simply because he HAS to stop the Bain/tax/Romneyhood bleeding. He is simply sinking. Andrea Saul's faux-pas/truth-telling was simply icing on this shit-pie. So here's what Ryan does for them: tempts dems. into talking about real issues, vision versus vision, "nanny-state" versus 'Murikian-do-yourselfism.
2) Great, so let's play.
3 a) eviscerate them on their own terms. Demonstrate just how dangerous all of this Ayn Rand LARP (Live Action Role Playing) is. This will be easy, almost too easy. So let's have some fun in the meantime.
3b) praise Paul for the basic fact that at least he has ideas, that he really does seem to be the future of the republican party. Make sure that you have to ascribe Paul's vision to Romney simply because Romney has no specific vision. Follow up on Romney's gaffe and keep saying that Paul is running for the presidency. We already know that the tea-baggers would much prefer Paul to Romney, so let's just push that envelope. Treat Paul like he's wearing big boy pants and treat Romney as if he needs to check with Paul on all things budgetary. If Paul is here to talk budget and economic plans, then, by all means, talk with him. And occasionally express a wish that Romney could adequately enter the conversation. In other words, it would be fun to speak to Romney through Paul and to make it obvious. My point 3a above will prove to be absolutely be brutal for Paul, and 3b will just humiliate Romney. Romney is a very prickly man, and bullies don't like being teased. What I propose is just teasing the shit out of the guy, making him feel like #2 (Hah!!!!) when bullies always like to be #1.
4) keep asking about his taxes. When he won't respond, just humiliate him some more. Maybe ask him if Paul would be kind enough to do his taxes for him. At the very least, ask Paul about Romney's taxes and ask Paul if he admires the way in which Romney has been able to keep his tax rate so low.
And then just keep cutting.

Nothing with set him off worse than being treated like he is #2 in priority.
