(58,785 posts)Obama held the rally for. Perhaps it might hurt more than help with his district, or ?. Obama is believed to be a double-edged sword, of course, energizing spite in some conservatives who otherwise might not vote.

(12,692 posts)The best thing to do is depress the GOP vote; prove Nunes is a traitor, a liar, and a danger to the farmers and businesses in the community.
And show Janz as being a fair, honest broker who will not threaten white folks in particular as he works for everyone his community.
The Chamber of Commerce/Elks Club types that run the district would rather not come out to vote than be forced to vote for a traitorous idiot because the Democrat running may scare and confuse them. It's touchy enough for them to realize that this might be the difference between Nancy Pelosi or Jim Jorden running the House.
Any Democrat like Barack Obama or hell, any Democrat to the left of Doug Jones or Manchin coming out will simply infuriate the barely majority (white) voters and Chamber of Commerce weenies in that district and get them to come out and vote out of spite. And if you don't think they're not doing everything they can to suppress the Hispanic - or other minority voters there through stealth, you've never driven through that district.

(58,785 posts)automatic donation to the DCCC, but it seems they're focusing our investment on other races. It will be fantastic if Janz manages this upset. We need Republicans do enough really stupid things before November 6 to hurt their voters so much that they finally can't ignore it.
Fwiw, among loss there could be some benefit to that swamp creature remaining in the national spotlight. I'm still hoping investigation and prosecution would multiply that benefit exponentially.

(19,204 posts)and I'm a New Yorker. I've donated a few times for the anti-Nunes billboards as well. I guess another donation couldn't hurt though! NO ONE deserves "retirement" more than that snake Nunes!
