(34,661 posts)tragedy and scary part begins. What is under all the debris? Been through a Spring River flood and the cleanup was heart wrenching to say the least. Never knew what was under pieces of buildings or what was inside that once submersed vehicle.

(23,813 posts)Pictures are surreal. I feel so sorry for those impacted. Months to get their lives back to anything resembling normal. However, unlike Puerto Rico, they'll have the full support of the US gov't.

(21,597 posts)They live in coastal town, but inland and not right by the river or the beaches. Still, its very dangerous with all of the flooding and downed electrical lines. He has plenty of storm supplies, gas, and a big generator. Hes dreading the 24-7 post-disaster phone calls.
