(16,555 posts)Barely noticeable. Philip Seymour Hoffman was 5-10 and big boned and played Truman Capote who was 5-3. He was great in the role but the differences in build bordered on ludicrous.
malaise
(269,488 posts)Like you I appreciate great acting but like some physical similarities.
BannonsLiver
(16,555 posts)I just dont think theres a casting director in Hollywood who would bat an eye at such a small difference when the guy is a quality actor and bears a physical resemblance. That said these things usually dont go the way we think. And Im sure there will be more than one movie anyway. I think its safe to say we are living in an extraordinary time. Hopefully the movie ends the way we want it too. Like All the Presidents Men. Anyway great thread topic.
malaise
(269,488 posts)Mueller will probably be in the background, although a film about him can't be ruled out.
BannonsLiver
(16,555 posts)I think the more complicated casting decision is who will play Donnie in whateve future movies are made about him and at this point I think its safe to say there will be movies.

(15,132 posts)A high-risk, high-reward choice that might be out of left field for some people: Russell Crowe. His performance in The Insider (although quite a while ago now) is what makes me think he could be interesting in the role.

malaise
(269,488 posts)I too thought he was taller
So in a movie, he should be cast as tall as we think he is, which right about now is VERY tall!
I'll watch it no matter who plays him.
It needs to be a HBO mini series. Too much to cover in a theatrical movie.

(86 posts)Honestly won't be able to watch anything about Trump until 10 years have passed. Much like the Twin Towers, I'm going to have serious PTSD with this administration for a while-even if our next POTUS is halfway sane. However, no need for a script writer as they can simply use his own words as no one can write anything more horrendous
