Zina Bash was accused of flashing the "White Power" symbol, so her response was to do it again.

If I had wrongly been accused of mouthing rude words and purposely making a White Power symbol on National television behind Kavanaugh on his first day of questions, you can bet I would not make that same mistake twice. But I guess that's just me, Zina Bash.

3. She's an ass, but we can't make the OK sign now for the rest of our lives because of these nutjobs?

This is how the terrorists win:

The ADL, a Jewish organisation established in 1913 to protect civil rights and oppose anti-semitism, pointed to an anonymous 4channer announcing “Operation O-KKK” in February, telling 4chan members “we must flood Twitter and other social media websites…claiming that the OK hand sign is a symbol of white supremacy”.

The ADL said the OK hoax was simply the latest in a series by 4channers and others, to try and take innocuous items, symbols or gestures and falsely attribute white supremacist meanings to them. One was the concept that white supremacists were drinking milk to show “the superiority of the white race” and the “purity of white milk”.

8. You make a good and valid point, but here's what I see

First, yes...maybe it is the "OK" sign. Personally, I can't remember the last time I made the "OK" sign to signify that I thought something was OK.

And yes, the "White Power" crowd has appropriated it as their own, so it's either "OK" or "White Power" and that's open to speculation.

The issue for me is that she made the "OK" sign on her lap...an odd place to make it if you're going to make it at all...and I have to believe she either saw or was informed of the media's reaction to it, so she did it again.

Either she's a person who thinks a lot of things are OK and feels the need to express it in non-verbal terms, or she did whatever she did on her lap for whatever reason, saw the reaction, and said "screw you" and did it again.

That's just me doing the math. I could be wrong.

I used it just the other day when a Hummer pulled up at the last second at a pedestrian crossing before hitting me. He apologized, I flashed the OK sign. Probably thought I was a fellow traveler. Or maybe (hopefully) this is still a limited insider thing and it can go away.

To take focus away from the nominee. Also a way to troll the libs. I think we should ignore her for these reasons.

That's sort of what I posted above, but I'm still working on the first cup of coffee of the day and the "T" word didn't immediately come to me.

a tweaker. Who would she have been making an OK sign to anyway? She was facing the Senate Committee, right?
