Republicans in congress for letting off on their suppression of economic recovery during all 8 years of Obama's term. They couldn't stop it, but they did their best to keep voters anxious and unhappy, including keeping real wages declining for half the nation, a strategy with multiple payoffs for them.

Now, of course, the tactic is to fool voters into believing the future really is looking brighter under them.
