2. I have been saying this for years

I live in an area that is rich with orchards, farms and such. These people drive down to Mexico and pick up whole families and then hide them on their property out of sight of pickers and tourists. They just don't think THEY are the ones violating laws. A friend of mine, who I later found out was a racist, just walked into one of the houses and saw at least 25 people living in it with mattresses everywhere.

Just the fact that they bring up whole families makes me want to look the other way. I do know they get them on the road to citizenship once they have been her for a few years. Once they are legal they are given small cottages and the kids are sent to school. Usually both parents work.

It is true that adults do not want to do the jobs these adults do. They can get teens to take the jobs but under 18 they can't do a lot of the jobs that need doing. Driving tractors, running equipment to produce cider, threshers etc.
