The GOP is getting close to a dire tipping point due to changing demographics. The only way they can remain in power is to get an increasingly larger share of a shrinking demographic. That's why the GOP has no choice but to go farther right. Eventually they will squeeze out those in the middle with whom they can't survive. When the worm turns the entire GOP is going to crash and burn overnight. This reality is inevitable and it's only a matter of time. When they lose Texas, and they will inevitably lose Texas, stick a fork in them because they are done. Trump has the potential to make that happen sooner rather than later.
