(58,785 posts)I went to verify this and found this on the Time site explaining the cover.
This guarantees Trump will be featured again. Something he can hold onto as he goes down.

Huge Kudos to the artist and Time for predicting a series! These will be collector's items for sure and will have a place in the "Donald J. Trump Very Bigly Presidential Conspiracy and Gaudy Interior Design Museum."

For the cover of the Sept. 3, 2018, issue of TIME, readers might notice something familiar. TIME collaborator Tim OBrien, an artist who has been creating TIME covers for nearly 30 years, has added the next illustrative step visualizing the mounting troubles facing President Trump. The third cover in OBriens series features a flooded Oval Office with the president floating above the water line.
The depiction follows the convergence of multiple distressing storylines for the president this week. First among them: Trump fixer and former personal lawyer Michael Cohens claim that the president directed Cohen during the 2016 campaign to pay off two women to prevent them from speaking out about affairs they had with Trump.
OBrien says for this third cover whether Trump would still be at his Resolute desk or not, says OBrien, a Brooklyn-based artist whose more than two dozen TIME covers over the years, include subjects ranging from the Catholic church to Osama Bin Laden. I felt that it was too comical or perhaps morbid to see him sitting there. But to have him at the top suggests hes still fighting despite the deepening issues.
When I painted the Nothing to See Here cover art, like many, I assumed the level of chaos could not last, says OBrien, who used air brush, pencil, gouache and oil paint to create the original piece, published in February 2017. But, he adds, as the never-ending flood of breaking news washed over the White House, and the firings, the scandals and the general mayhem filled each news cycle, I felt the storm metaphor was as relevant as ever.

(5,873 posts)Will he do a cover with trumps lifeless corpse floating, surrounded by turds and the bodies of all the people who will untimately go down because of him?? As the conclusion to his series. There is not enough room on the cover to include tRump, his cronies and a large hunk of Congress. But at least the infestation will be gone.....a girl can dream, cant she??

(1,068 posts)For the last three years I have wanted to see that guy go down,
The Repukelicans in the Debates could not take him down.
He needed Russian criminal interference to put him in the White House.
The Investigation is uncovering all of the criminal activity and our whole nation can live better everyday.

(52,129 posts)the series too. I was an illustrator. The artist will be able to do it...he has talent. I hope there is a little Hillary throwing paper towels at him like he did in PR after the hurricane. Maybe the next one, before he actually drowns, will be of him sitting in a boat without paddles and all his former enablers are treading water around him.
