(15,474 posts)They were also walls of texts of her going on and on talking how she's a victim of "soul rape." After Ellison texts her asking if her son was ok, he seemed upset. That's her proof of his abuse. Whatever issue causes that, they both have it.

(12,344 posts)This is what she just tweeted. She says she happens to have exactly such a tape, yet without any irony at all, claims that she needs a tape to prove she is telling the truth.

A woman needs to wear a body cam, have a recorder and camera on hand, show she is always prepared if she is ever abused in any way. A man just needs to make a statement Its not true and he is good as gold

(6,344 posts)Keith Ellison is on the ballot running for AG. He left his solid congressional seat to run for AG. The timing of this is what sends up red flags. Something fishy is going on. Why did she not come forward before now?

OTOH, it would have been worse if she waited till he was the nominee.

The accuser had been tweeting at Ellison and media outlets for more than a year. Apparently, some outlets dug into the story, and didn't find enough to run with.

(55,853 posts)From the statement alone, all one gets is a long accusation, which was rambling in nature. Besides coming from Fox, it uses a lot of big words and a lot of poor grammar, almost as if it were a poorly proofread translation from another language.
None of all that means her story is phony by itself, but it doesn't enhance its credibility, either. If Ellison's accuser really believes all this took place, whether or not it did, then Ellison would have seen warning signs long before now. In this case, I suspect he is capable of expressing himself accordingly. If she does not have complete confidence in her story, it would go a long way towards explaining the fancy wording curiously coupled with the poor grammar. If that is the case, then Ellison's accuser had some sophisticated help writing the Fox article, and not all of it by someone whose native language is English.
I think there is more to come out here, and someone is in for some embarrassment. Though I couldn't say which at this point, the timing, the odd language of the written statement, and the choice of Fox to air it do not amount to enhanced credibility. If there is truth to her story, she needs better help in writing it and another venue through which to air it.
