Maybe it's because I live in Southern West Virginia and am surrounded by loud and proud Deplorables. But this kind of cluelessness is not unique. I see these people, I hear these people, I know these people.

I don't think the depth and breadth of the ignorance of the Republican party is being taken into account. I'm telling you these people are a lot more f*cking stupid than you give them credit for.. They can be talked into believing things you would not believe. And the kicker is, there's a helluva lot more of them than you think.
