To be clear, when Gates says he embezzled from Manafort, what he's actually admitting to is embezzling from the Russian mafia. The mob under-wrote Manafort's work for Yanukovych (& Trump. let's be honest). Hence, this fear ⬇️



2/ Serhiy Kurchenko was Yankovych's campaign wallet - the campaign that Manafort-Gates worked for, and the criminality of that work is what is on trial today.



3/ Russian mafia money was washed through Manafort. You will hear about Cyprus, BVI, Seychelles offshore accounts. You will hear about dirty real estate deals. You will hear how blood money is laundered. You will hear the name SEMION MOGILEVICH...

I keep wondering why there isn't more blow-by-blow coverage of this trial.

That means no cameras or video, and I think the judge has said that cell phones are supposed to be off while in the courtroom. So, no live blogging of events as they happen, unless someone feels like having their phone confiscated or spending a night in jail.
