West Hollywood City Council Considers Axing Trump's Walk of Fame Star

President Donald Trump’s star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is under consideration for removal after a second act of vandalism struck the former reality show star’s totem in July.

The West Hollywood City Council announced on Monday that it will be convening to discuss removing the iconic image, citing Trump’s “disturbing treatment of women and other actions” that go against the “shared values” of the West Hollywood community, the state of California, and “the country.”

In addition to mentioning the infamous Access Hollywood recording in which Trump is heard bragging about sexually assaulting women, the WeHo City Council cited numerous other behaviors espoused by the president that will affect its decision.

Based on these factors, the City of West Hollywood is recommending the City Council of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce order the immediate removal of Trump’s Walk of Fame Star, as his actions should “not be acceptable in the Hollywood and entertainment industry communities.”

for this decision was based on the constant defacing of his star. But it is actually due to his actions and behavior so I am even happier.

There's a short stretch of Highway 99W dedicated to the memory of Herbert Hoover, who lived in Newberg, Oregon from the time he was 10 until he was 14. There's really not much reason to commemorate that, except it's as close to a home-grown president as Oregon is likely to ever get, even if it was just Hoover. The memorial plaque remains, though.
