It's to grab media attention and draw it away from something else. He says something crazy and the media just has to spend the time. Even on PBS they admitted that they had spent a few minutes on it. He will go right up to the edge of what he thinks the public will accept.
Next time this happens, look around to see what he's distracting the media from overing. This time, Pruitt ousting. And the migrant crisis.
If he knows little else, he knows how to play the media. They need to refuse.

(226 posts)the deal to get in and be part of a rally? He is basically creating a claque instead of an audience, one that's a copy of WWF wrestling crowds..that cheer his hero and boo the villain..I wonder how many people at these things are a wrestling crowd that are used to going to local small arenas cause the circus came to town..any reporting on just how many attended the last one? I'm guessing Molly Hatchet would attract more of these people if they gave away tickets..

(226 posts)At Four Seasons Arena, that is listed in Wikipedia as fitting in 5,600 for concerts, but is reported by the Great Falls Tribune as hosting 6.600 at the event and "turning away disappointed fans". Bush 1 and Obama spoke there, but mostly a Rodeo/High School tournament spot..easily a stage to look popular and get the footage, not real overwhelming numbers..

Yeah, me too. But Trump deflated that like a master and it worked. Sure we're still outraged but overall, the pressure and attention is nowhere near what it was that first week before Trump made his
BS signing statement, BS Melania jacket trip, BS whatever... If we're going to win, if truth is going to win, we need to ignore Trump's diversions - or at least highlight them for what they are.
