James Woods Dropped by Talent Agent Over Politics, Actor Says

James Woods is saying he has been dropped by his talent agent.

The news was first revealed by the Emmy award winning actor himself on Twitter, who shared an email he received from his talent agent, Ken Kaplan.

"It's the 4th of July and I'm feeling patriotic. I don't want to represent you anymore. I mean I could go on a rant but you know what I'd say," said Kaplan, who Woods described as a "political liberal"

Kaplan is a partner at the The Gersh Agency. Among his others clients are Hollywood stars like Winona Ryder and Kristen Stewart, according to IMDB.

The agent did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap on Thursday.

She was such a bubble head, I doubt she could have even carried on a conversation about her conservative politics. She wasn't even a real actor.

I used to know Paul Winfield and he told me that to be successful in Hollywood, longevity is having talent, knowing your lines, being on time and being polite or the crew.

James Wood lacked those 4 qualities. Plus he was leachous to women on the set.

When are these guys going to understand that it's nothing to be proud of when your political stance is so repugnant that people don't want to work with you? I suspect he, like Smokey Sanders, wants shocked intakes of breath over the vicious liberal who is so mistreating him when he's only trying to do his job. Don't they get it that thinking, sensitive people don't want to be associated with Trump supporters?

So proud of businesses who are willing to put principle before money in these cases. I don't know how much money Woods makes for his agent, but whatever it is, the agent decided it wasn't enough to justify even third-hand support of Trump. The worms are turning.

Oh and..

"Despite once being a Hollywood A-lister, Woods has seen his career fall off dramatically in his elders years, a development he has attributed to being "blacklisted" for his conservative views. The actor has stirred controversy in the past for statements and opinions, like this one in which he appeared to call Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson a "saloon hooker"

"conservative views".. a long ass word for major asshole.
