I am now reading an old book by Erma Bombeck, who lived in a suburb of Dayton, graduated from Univesrity of Dayton. My Son graduated there,too.

But her book is full of tidbits I remember about Dayton in the 60’s and 70’s.

Erma had the wit of Molly, but not on Politics. Phil Donahue was her neighbor. First time she saw Phil he was carrying a toilet seat under his arm.
