Think about it. They CAN'T talk on the phone, anymore, because of surveillance. Trump doesn't handle details, but he (and whoever is with him) can hash out the overall picture of what's going to go down. What kind of help Putin will offer. And what Trump can give him in return.

Just like we don't know what Putin & Trump discussed when they met for an hour in an unannounced session when Trump met him for the first time. Trump and Putin were speaking alone, w/o attendants.

That can't be monitored.
