How do all of us make it through the next 2 years?

I swear it is wearing on me. I have been limiting my time online, especially here, to keep from pushing my blood pressure through the roof. I hated Bush, but I didn't feel he was a danger to the Republic. This man is CRAZY, bat shit CRAZY and nobody seems to care. He still has 80 percent of Republicans. This nut will get reelected. How do all of you cope with this. I am drinking way to much wine.

If you can't physically volunteer there are a lot of campaigns where you can volunteer remotely online or phone banking.

For example: Beto O'Rourke has people volunteering from even outside of TX online doing texting, data entry and phone banking.

Focusing on the 2018 election is keeping me motivated now.

47. Oklahoma Dems have flipped FOUR seats from red to blue in a year
Thu Jun 21, 2018, 03:27 PM
Jun 2018

That's in just one year since drumpf was elected and some have come in very red districts.
Here's the link:
https://rewire.news/article/2017/11/15/democrats-flip-fourth-oklahoma-state-seat-special-election-denying-anti-choice-republican/

The point is change can come but only if we - including you - make it happen. I do understand the fatigue but the counterpoint to this ongoing assault on our democracy and our decency is to fight back, especially by donating money, working for candidates and voting. It doesn't cost money to volunteer for a campaign. I am, even though I too live in a very red district. Even if the candidate loses we have to make the repubs earn everything because that will take away their resources from other campaigns where Dems do stand a better chance.

We cannot give up and leave this democracy to the heartless fascists.

To live in an area where everyone is either a Trumper or apathetic. I hear lots of people say "Oh I don't watch the news, it's all bad."

How can you NOT stay informed during these times? How can you not care? As you say, this orange monster is bat shit crazy, and nobody seems to care!

redstatebluegirl, we liberals seem to be the only ones in the country who have any sense of decency and empathy. I'm just hoping there are more of us out there than them and that we can see a change in November.

If the midterms are poor for dems, I'm afraid for and of the future of the US. I literally think the US could skid right off the rails. My hope is that enough sensible people vote in the midterms and we start to slide this gangster sleaze down the drain. Also, the results of Mueller's investigate might kick in. I remain optimistic that this ass in the WH and his herd will be shown the door.

Idiocracy seems to have taken full hold. Between the willful ignorant, the stupidity, those that don't care and then the egregious ones ripping off the country, it looks pretty bleak IMO. I had a chance to live in Canada a long time ago and study, and I turned it down. I could have been a Canadian citizen by now. Hindsight is always great.

And he doesn't run if we re-take the House, because then he becomes a liability that many Republicans running in 2020 won't want to be associated with. He'll say, "I accomplished more in four years than most presidents accomplish in twelve (what does he know?). My work is done here." So, he fades into the woodwork, Melania divorces him, he moves into the Trump Tower Moscow, and has hot and cold running women until Putin gets tired of him.

GOTV this November. Every one you can, and then one more vote for every one of them. Make this happen!
