They Are Not Tone Deaf; They Are Just Mean

Recently, people have been responding to the tweets sent out by members of the Trump family by criticizing them as tone deaf. I disagree. I do not believe members of the Trump family are tone deaf; I believe they are just mean. I do not think Ivanka Kushner was unaware of what she was doing when she tweeted out a photo of herself and her young child on Mother's Day. Maybe she did not know what she was doing, but I think she was actually throwing it in people's faces that she was not being separated from her children.

I feel the same way about Don Jr.'s wife. Maybe she meant to use the tweet to mock Laura Ingraham's claim that the detention centers were similar to summer camps, but I think she was doing just the opposite. I think she was attempting to mock the people who were protesting the detention centers. I think she, like Ivanka, was attempting to tell people that she did not care what happened to people who were not like her.

It seems that Ivanka Kushner and Vanessa Trump are modern day Marie Antoinettes. One would think that if Antoinette could be transported to 2018 she would act in a similar manner to Kushner and Trump. You would expect her to send out tweets with pictures of herself and her children with captions that discussed the joys of being a mother and sending her kids to summer camp.

We have to get comfortable saying it. These people are evil. Hillary nailed it (as usual). They are deplorable. They are evil monsters.

It goes against our nature as caring human beings to think we have so many Hitler and Mussolini wannabes in our midst. But we do and we'd better recognize what our adversaries are truly capable of in order to defeat them.
