"Our recollection keeps changing, or were not even asked a question and somebody makes an assumption.
There you have it.
From his own lawyer.
President Donald J. Trump has problems remembering facts.
What other facts does he have trouble remembering? On what other things does his "recollection keep changing?"
Does President Donald J. Trump insist that the investigation is a witch-hunt because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Does he insist that the Obama-administration wiretapped Trump Tower because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Does he insist that his campaign-manager Paul Manafort played only a minor role in his campaign because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Does he insist that there is no pee-tape because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he subject Latinos and African-Americans to a racist double-standard because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he refuse to enact sanctions passed by Congress because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he make the US leave various international treaties because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he start a trade-war with China, Canada and the EU because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he antagonize Canada and Europe, traditional military allies of the US, because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he order the airforce to conduct bombings against ISIS with less care for civilian losses because his "recollection keeps changing?"
Did he order an attack on a military airport of the syrian government because his "recollection keeps changing?"
When his own attorney publicly declares that the President of the United States can no longer be trusted to make decisions because he has trouble remembering things...

(49,027 posts)In time, many (never all) will be ashamed of being so stupid and will simply deny voting in that election. We're not there yet.

(49,027 posts)What percentage of 1972 voters admit they voted for Nixon? From people writing on DU, it seems that the numbers these days are lower than the percentage of the popular vote.

(81,419 posts)Seriously. After Watergate, youd have thought nobody voted for the guy. Even when you knew for a fact that they had.

(37,161 posts)Reposting an oldie but very relevant goodie from Driftglass:
http://driftglass.blogspot.com/2010/09/now-bush-belly-sneetches.html
(really hard to pick what to skip to stay within the fair-use rules, so please bear with me)
Now, the Bush-Belly Sneetches were backers of Bush,
The Plain-Belly Sneetches thought Bush was a Tush.
The Bushs werent so big; they were really quite small.
You would think such a thing wouldnt matter at all.
But because they backed Bush, all the Bush-Bellied Sneetches would brag,
Plain-Bellies are nothing but Commies in Drag!
"They hate our Great Nation," The Bush-Bellies said.
They're Marxist white-flaggers who want us all dead!
They hate our Dear Leader! They hate our Great Troops!
They mindlessly hate everything, those Socialist poops!
It's their lack of Bush-Bellies that gives them away
They're America-haters! And probably Gay!"
***
The Bush-Belly Sneetches became very confused.
How could they fail? Had they merely been used?
Fox had told them for years they were righteous and shrewd;
That the Plain-Belly Sneetches were stupid and crude.
Now their Bush-Belly tats made them look shithouse-rat-nuts
Their own words had damned them, no "ands", "ifs" or "buts".
And then out of the West came their own gin-soaked Moses
Who swore all their shame could be turned into roses.
His name was Sylvester "Dick Armey" McBean
Inventor of the Fabulous, Tea-Baggulous Bush-Off Machine.

They marched and they cheered and sang lots of brave tunes,
About how great Beck was, and how Lefties were Loons.
For one thing, of course, had remained just the same
The Left and their schemes were always to blame.
Because there is no need to be careful or watch what you say
When your past is as squashy as modeling clay.
Thats quite a recitation.

(2,091 posts)...the guy is an old has-been, maybe at one time he was on his game, but now he is not. It is embarrassing watching him flail around.
But, the more I think about it, the less I feel sorry for him. He made his own bed. Now he is sleeping on it.

(81,419 posts)but not for the twisted shit that issues forth from behind them.
On second thought... nah. I dont feel sorry for him for any reason. Not when its self-inflicted.

(16,423 posts)She would ask the same questions over and over again, because she could never quite remember. She was never really sure.
On a bad day she would ask "Who are you again?" every 15 minutes.

(43,249 posts)It's not "where are my car keys?". It's not recalling what car keys are used for. Or more typically, families must intervene when their loved one goes out to the store, and just keeps driving because they can't remember how to get home or where home is. They could wind up 50 miles away.
How one diagnoses a "broken circuit" in someone who only remembers, constantly, his own greatness is anybody's guess. I believe it is dementia, just a different form from Alzheimer's. Loss of mental complexity. Pudgy, out-of-shape, obese Orange runs all the risks for poor circulation, brain plaque, hypertension. It's visually obvious.

(114 posts)Maybe his 'recollection changed' and he thinks Hilary won, and that is why he keeps bringing up her name. Or that the election didn't happen yet and he thinks he is still campaigning. OR DEMENTIA.😆
