would it be public information?
Would there be any way he could hide this from the public for any length of time?
The trip to Camp David minus Melania and Barron has me wondering...

Still not sure.

(1,595 posts)I think secret indictments are the same as sealed indictments that can become superseding indictments.. I'm not a lawyer, just going off of what I have read.

(17,059 posts)Although, he knows what he's done and said. My guess, is the search of Cohen was very fruitful and he's trying to figure out how to keep his fat, useless ass out of jail.

(1,009 posts)but I am intrigued by the fact that tiffany went to camp david. Supposedly she doesnt click with him or the rest of the family. And camp david isnt like vacationing at mara lago. Doesnt seem her style. He must be making some kind of family announcement (or coordinating their stories). Its making me wonder if Melania were actually divorcing him, if he would decide to resign - to save face - because it would be just too awkward and embarrassing to be going thru a divorce while President. His ego probably couldnt handle it. But who knows.

Would be very interesting...if she knows all his secrets, or at least some. Shes a loaded weapon to him, this is definitely an unusual situation to say the least, and what would he do to keep her quiet.

(22,141 posts)Assume Melania is divorcing Trump. Further assume that because of her proximity to him for years, she knows about some of his criminality.
As a married couple, she cannot be compelled to testify against him.
Stupid question No. 1: Can she choose to testify against him? If she did, I'm sure he'd fight that.
Stupid question No. 2: If they divorce, can she be called to testify against her former spouse?
Thanks for your patience.

(19,811 posts)while married she can't be forced to testify, can do so voluntarily.
Not sure about after divorce.

(653 posts)Particularly on matters that occurred during the time of the legal marriage. No prosecutor would want to compel testimony even after divorce, considering the former spouse would then be vulnerable to the possibility of retaliatory suspension of spousal support/alimony and child support. Never mind also the possibility of character assassination and private marital matters being exposed as retaliation.
And I think we can safely assume Trump would gleefully do all of these...
