All Democratic Senators are no longer needed. Go home because according to what I have read you are just do nothings. One man alone is leading this party, one he does not belong to and you are now obsolete. Every idea and policy over the last 40 years or more, he owns and has lead the way with that reform, even when it was not his originally. Every post I see is one man leading all others which includes misleading headlines and omits any Democrats that have supported it forever. He is the 'I' party in many ways, Democrats are the 'We' party. No one man stands alone, we work together or all is lost.
Breaks my heart when my Senator is no longer important. My Senator started and finished this.
I for one hate to see my late Senator Teddy given a last row seat over Bernie.

Edward M. Kennedy's legacy. The major votes he participated in, bills Ted Kennedy passed and more. This is my tribute to the lion of the Senate. This memorial for Ted Kennedy can't even begin to do his legislative legacy justice, but as talk begins to turn to who will replace Senator Kennedy, I hope this helps serve as a guide to what he and his seat came to stand for.

Please show me a progressive agenda and ACCOMPLISHMENTS and not just promises that Bernie has done that will come close to what Teddy did.
We are not the party of me, look at me. We are the party of we, all the people and our Democratic representatives working for all of us as a whole.

(42,311 posts)So many Ds are dissed here, despite their many accomplishments. But one legislator not only seemingly cannot be criticized, he is responsible for every good idea, ever created.

(20,577 posts)I got on my very loud riding mower and cried my eyes out. I knew he was the last of the great progressive Dems who could get things done.
Thank you for posting this because we need to be reminded how things once were and that so many have benefitted.
