I had read someplace that they were invited (and the Trumps weren't!). I sure would like to see pics of them with the happy couple...

(14,249 posts)The problem is that my hat is so effing big and strategically dipped below one eye, that Im going to have trouble seeing anyone.
Im trying to cobble together some kind of a little hat periscope so that I have better line of sight during the ceremony and the reception...

(14,249 posts)This is probably the only Royal Wedding I'll ever go to (especially after they find out I wasn't technically "invited" to this one) so, I'm going for awesome fabulousness ala Go Dog Go ...

LONDON After months of speculation about whether the Obamas or the Trumps would be invited to the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle next month the answer is finally in: neither.
Neatly sidestepping the issue, Kensington Palace released an opaque statement Tuesday saying that no politicians would be invited to the May 19 wedding at Windsor Castle, not even Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain.
It has been decided that an official list of political leaders both U.K. and international is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markles wedding, Kensington Palace said in a statement. Her Majestys Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household.
The lack of an official list was interpreted by royals watchers to mean that no invitations would be issued to political leaders.

(6,974 posts)Destroy our country & democracy, I've really not focused on the Royals. In fact, no one I know has mentioned the Royal Wedding. Hell, we're all grousing amongst each other about how our insurance premiums are going up, and about how food, gasoline et all is going up too ...
I wish the Royals Good Luck though, with the pomp and circumstance over there
