...a half assed attempt to get ahead of the inevitable quid pro quo story with China that will eventually blow up even more than it already has so far. Correct?
That's what it was, right?
The only reason that Donald Trump, supposedly the President of the United States, would take to Twitter and start hawking a Chinese company for Chinese jobs is that he knows something's coming down the pipeline regarding that payment from China he got for his Indonesian resort, right?
There couldn't possibly be any other more innocent explanation, could there?
I'm just asking because it all just seems so incredibly brazen and bizarre.

(51,715 posts)until it is too late. This is another domino in the decline of our country that has been going on since 1980 (at least). Is the US really a great country anymore? I keep hearing we are "the greatest country on the planet". I have had my doubts for a while now. Too damn depressing.

It's stupefying how the right will latch onto any far fetched supposed scandal when it's about Hillary, but Trump's personal lawyer can be soliciting and raking in millions in influence payments and they're utterly silent.
The degree to which the selective alternate reality has been mainstreamed to 40% of the population is beyond alarming. Over 1/3 or Americans are already living in an Orwellian state.
