Meet the new Gmail, now with disappearing messages

It's been a bad couple of years for email.

You can set a message to expire in 1 day to 5 years, and require the recipient to enter a passcode texted to their phone before they can read it. Confidential Mode emails will open in a special window that doesn't allow the recipient to forward, copy or print the message (though you can still grab a screenshot). There's an option to revoke an email at any time. The tools work even with emails sent to non-Gmail accounts.

and it's a mess. Trying to email a document FROM the document itself still pops up Outlook. Printing and saving from G-Mail is a pain. AND G-Mail isn't ADA compliant.

All you're really doing is firing up an email client and auto-populating it with the document. Typically it looks for Outlook. These days you'll get a choice of attaching it to the email, or copying the content into an HTML message.

It’s still set to use Outlook as default mail client, not GMail. You can, however, setup Outlook to send/receive to/from GMail accounts.
