Protesters leave their gun protest signs outside Trump Hotel in DC

Protesters at the “March for Our Lives” rally for gun control in Washington, D.C., left their signs outside Trump Hotel after they marched.

The Saturday rally was organized by student survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting last month that left 17 people dead.

It featured a number of performances by stars such as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus.

Although a number of lawmakers were spotted marching, not a single elected official spoke at the rally. Most of the speakers were student survivors from Stoneman Douglas and students from across the country affected by gun violence.

President Trump was at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida as hundreds of thousands of people marched near the White House.

More than 800,000 people attended the rally in D.C., according to estimates from the rally’s organizers. D.C. metropolitan police have yet to release their own estimates.

4. I don't really agree with just leaving signs for people to have to clean up

I have a lot of respect for marchers and protestors who make a point of either not creating any additional waste or who help others to clean up after those who do.

5. In my view this was not the "usual" leaving trash around.

This was a STATEMENT !!!!!

And very few signs, compared to the number of marchers...

I applaud them.

6. I get that and I respect the idea behind making that statement

However, I think it's better to just take them home or dispose of them. The statement has already been made by the march itself. Just my two cents.
