was what the OP intended in posting this story. i think they just didn't realize it was a 4 year old story . maybe because the sentencing of the stabber was just last month the story came up and seemed recent.

This was my first thought when I read the article. Reminded me of Emma Gonzalez's powerful speech- (paraphrase) the maniac wouldn't have caused that much carnage, if he had a knife.

Whenever someone says that gun control won't work because they'll just get a knife. This was a knife attack. It shows one huge difference between a knife and a gun: with the knife attack everyone is expected to survive.

They should have mentioned at the bottom it was a story from 2014 but it serves a purpose.
