Anyone have experience using gofundme for an organization?

I belong to a watershed conservation type of group and we need to raise some money to help restore a special wetland area (that is the extremely simple version), first step is getting a restoration expert out to help us with a plan and hopefully help us with further funding (grants and so forth) but we need to pay for the initial study first. We will be doing a few different things, but thought this might be one fairly simple avenue as well.

I have donated to various people but not any organizations (I think) but have never set up a receiving account. Any advice?
