Romney's very bad London trip

Romney's very bad London trip

by kos

The Daily Mail is a British tabloid. A conservative one, in fact. James Chapman is the paper's political editor and a self-proclaimed Tory, and has been tweeting Mitt Romney's visit to his country.

Somehow, I doubt this is what Romney was going for when planning the trip:

<...>

Romney blunders again by revealing he's had (supposedly) top secret briefing by John Sawers, MI6 boss. Do we have a new Dubya on our hands?
— @jameschappers

Serious dismay in Whitehall at Romney debut. 'Worse than Sarah Palin.' 'Total car crash'. Two of the kinder verdicts #romneyshambles
— @jameschappers

Can this get any worse for Romney? Boris is now mocking him in front of 60,000 people in Hyde Park #romneyshambles
— @jameschappers

Another verdict from one Romney meeting: 'Apparently devoid of charm, warmth, humour or sincerity' #romneyshambles #mitthitsthefan
— @jameschappers

Get him the hell out of the UK, stat! At this rate, we'll be at war by tomorrow noon.

And they might want to rethink that Israel visit ...

Earlier, Romney appeared to forget Ed Miliband's name when they met at Westminster. "Like you, Mr Leader, I look forward to our conversations this morning," Romney said to Miliband as they shook hands.

Is he prepared to explain why it is not an unforgivable insult to baptize dead Jews?

Because I so want to hear it.

Whoda thunk that Rmoney is worse than Caribou as a gaffe machine and the "taxes" were the least of Mclame's issues with him. Now we see what he was talking about.

They both excel at word salads but she was probably better at not completely butchering the talking points vs his going completely off-message.
