!!NEWSWEEK!!:Mueller Investigation Pressuring Trump Toward Pushing The Button

http://www.newsweek.com/mueller-investigation-pressuring-trump-toward-pushing-nuclear-button-mental-806324

Many have expressed this fear here at DU as well... but this is a panel of experts reported in NEWSWEEK!

President Donald Trump’s mental health is “deteriorating” and special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into possible collusion between his campaign and Russians in the election is edging the commander-in-chief closer to pushing the nuclear button on North Korea, a psychologist opined.

The stress of Mueller’s intensifying investigation is “clearly driving him crazy,” psychologist John Gartner said of Trump during a panel of mental health and nuclear weapons experts convened by the "Need to Impeach" campaign Monday night in Washington, D.C.

“What we need to understand is that for him, this also is pushing him towards pushing the nuclear button because it would solve all of his problems,” said Gartner, claiming that Trump has no empathy or concern for the people whose lives would be destroyed.

I have no doubt that everything he can do to halt the Russia investigation will be done. Legal and otherwise.

But this talk about the nuclear button is just a distraction. It's not going to happen anytime soon.

It's not like there's anything we can do about it.

If he does push the button, that's the breaks. We are pretty helpless to do much about it.

that is pro-tRump. Read this recent write up about them in this Rolling Stone article:

They also seem to be connected in some way to the Washington Times and the Moonies. I no longer consider Newsweek a reliable source.

I don't care what qualifications the psychologist has. I do care about the medium in which it is published.

Me.

This is not kids playing cops and robbers, millions will die including a couple hundred thousand Americans and the environmental impact would be hideously stupendous and yet these people continue with this loose and dangerous talk.

There are strict rules of ethics against "diagnosing from afar" and even if you did, a legit person in the field wouldn't say "driving him crazy". They would use a medical term.

They were sold to some organization, not to ordinary "new owners". They are now owned by some religious cult or right wing nutters or some such.
