Obamas invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding - Trump's Not Invited.

EXCLUSIVE: Barack Obama invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding
PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have snubbed advice and invited Barack Obama to their Royal wedding, Daily Star Online can reveal.

A royal source told Daily Star that the prince and his fiancé “want to do things their own way,” despite some aides advising them not to invite the Obamas because it would outrage current president Donald Trump, who has reportedly not been invited. But now the decision is up to the Obamas. Barack Obama and Prince Harry have a genuine friendship, writes Daily Star, one that goes beyond politics and work. Obama was recently interviewed by the prince on BBC Radio 4’s Today program. When the prince and Markle’s engagement was announced, Obama tweeted “We wish you a lifetime of you and happiness together.”

I can imagine what a nightmare the security issues would be, having to accommodate for trump*. The wedding is at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, so it's not going to be nearly as heavily attended as Will & Kate's, or Charles and Diana's.

I hope the Obamas accept.

I imagine the professional, non-political generals at the Pentagon will point out that the UK is a full diplomatic and military ally, and a desire to go to war in a fit of pique by mentally and emotionally would-be dictator would be ignored.

Anyway, Congress has to declare war, and as much as they seem to love war, they're not going to declare against anyone they know can fight back.

...in importance as the wedding of the first in line. That's one reason he is being allowed to marry a multi-racial American. These days the multi-racial part is probably not as important as the American totally non-royal lineage part.

So, aside from Trump's continually-outraged fee-fees, who cares? I hope the Obamas attend.

But the British should bury any worries about an American being royal consort.

History confirms that English royalty has rarely been English.

The Normans and Angevins were French.

The Lancasters and Tudors were Welsh.

The Stuart were Scottish.

And the Hanoverians were German (naturally).

Queen Victoria's brood married all over Europe. If they hadn't gone back and forth that way over the centuries they would have died out from in-breeding, and even so, that Hapsburg jaw was quite the trait. But they were always within a certain lineage one way or another.

During the late 19th century and into the 20th, American heiresses were a "catch" for sub-royal houses who needed money.

His mom was Scottish and according to Trump she loved the pageantry of Britian's royal occasions. We know Trump wanted the pageantry of the " gold carriage" ride.

I think his head would explode not knowing which impulse to follow.

to go for the pageantry (and thereby pleasing his stern mother)
or
not going for fear of humiliation from massive protests. (in your face proof for a narcissist that he is not loved ).
