Being Allowed To Refuse Service For Religious Reasons Is Way Too Far & DANGEROUS.

So if you are seriously ill or dying and you are LGBT or you are a women who needs a abortion to save your live or you are having a dangerous miscarriage and need immediate treatment you can be denied care if someone of conscience will not help. My take is that the religious freedom policy is just completely insane.

Something is radical wrong when we have gotten to this point. And what if that person is the only one available. So there will be an ER question are you gay. Or are you a Moslem or a Christian.

....instructing people not to bake cakes for gay people. Wedding cakes aren’t sacred...neither are wedding cupcakes, scones, or cinnamon rolls. Flower arrangements are also not sacred. If you have a cake/flower arranging business. Bake cakes and arrange flowers. Deeply held religious beliefs should at least have some basis in a religious text.

The only caveat I have to this is hate speech. If someone wants a cake with swasticas all over it or something...don’t bake that cake. Or bake the cake and have them decorate it.

as a practical matter, religious texts can provide evidence that the claim of religious belief is sincere.

but in this case, it doesn't matter if every single page of the bible said not to bake cakes for gay people because no religious text is the law of the land.

and the law of the land says your rights don't extend to the point of interfering with other people's rights.

come to think of it, *that* actually *is* in many religious texts, sometimes known as the "golden rule"....

Not one of these assholes has considered for a second that this might boomerang on them. It will in a big hurry when one of their kids or them is in a car accident, taken to the emergency room, and denied a life-saving transfusion by the Jehovah's Witness doctor on call that evening.

"We reserve the right to refuse to serve anyone" signs and add on "because of our religious beliefs"

What a great cop out. How will anyone ever prove your personal religion doesn't tell you to refuse service to blacks or whites or Jews or Protestants?

Even an "undercover" dateline type of experiment thing.

you shouldn't get the job. Period.

I know religious organizations discriminate against people of another or no faith in hiring. Period.

They should live by their rules.
